Breaking Bonds (Sexual Trauma series)

This series has been developed to support survivors of sexual trauma (contact and non-contact sexual behaviour and sexual exploitation)

This series, which focuses on both the educational components and somatic work, is aimed at helping the survivor move from a place of helplessness to a place where a healthy grieving process can occur. A collection of different techniques will be used like QEC, TRE, tapping, grief work, parts work as well as resilience-based exercises to process emotion. A few of the key components that will be covered in the series are: the grooming strategy used by perpetrators, the body’s response at the time of sexual trauma, self-care practices and, the effects that the experience(s) have had on the survivor and how it manifested in the body and mind. Because sexual trauma happens on a soul level, it is extremely complex to heal from. The series will therefore have an organic approach, working at the survivor’s pace, with whatever material the survivor brings up and is willing to work through.

*Although not a prerequisite, it is strongly suggested that if you would like to do this series, that you start off with a somatic practice like TRE, yoga or qi gong. This will help to facilitate much deeper work when working through material.
